Tuesday, 10:50pm

Erika slept most of the day. The suctioning is exhausting for her.  She is "breathing over the ventilator" a little bit which is a good sign.  While trying to communicate, she did write "record".  We're still trying to figure out what that means.

The therapeutic harpist came and played on the floor today.  She played two songs and Brittany was able to sing along.  Erika slept through it.

Brittany is without chest tubes!  They pulled the last one today.  She is less agitated and is regaining some bodily control.  Don, Jennifer, and Brittany were able to Skype with Don, JoLynn, Brianna, Donald, and Vicki.  At one point this afternoon, Brittany was trying to impersonate the doctor.  She wanted to change the orders to get water.  The small amount of ice chips weren't cutting it.

Matthew 11:28-30

New American Standard Bible (NASB)

28Come to Me, all [a]who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and YOU WILL FIND REST FOR YOUR SOULS. 30 For My yoke is [b]easy and My burden is light.”
